Artist Statement
I see the world as a wonderful magical and above all humourus place.
I have always had a love for all things fantastical and magic. Even when I am making functional ware I try to capture the feeling of something special, with the hint of both futuristic and ancient past all at once.
In my recent work I am exploring a childhood dream of making strange creatures; I have, however , taken this childhood dream in a definitely adult direction, exploring feminine sensuality combined with a celebration of the humorous side of the body image issue which is the bane of every women; inspired by people like Gok Wan to celebrate the female form in every shape and size whilst acknowledging the deep rooted insecurity that is always there
